VS-890 Series Grate, Floor & Deck Cleaner
The
Eddy-Jet Models VS-892 and VS-893
Grate, Floor and Deck Cleaners are designed to
surpass current competitive technology. The VS-892
operates at 20,000 PSI at 50 GPM and the VS-893
at 30,000 PSI and 42 GPM. This machine is
used for a multitude of different application such as: automotive paint spray
booths, grates, removal of paint and finishing from floors, parking ramps
and decks, airplane runways, concrete scarification, tennis court cleaning,
and other surface preparation. This efficiently designed accessory will
excel at cleaning horizontal surfaces, as well as vertical surfaces, through
the utilization of a hinged cleaning head. When accompanied with a
forklift, it may clean vertical surfaces up to the capability of the lift.
The VS-890 Series utilizes a steel cleaning shroud, stainless steel arm assembly with dual nozzles, a high pressure rotating seal, a hydraulic rotational speed control system, with a JETECH® Model 89202 pressure/flow dump valve system. These components are mounted on a specially designed four wheel cart with a "U" shaped maneuvering handle.
Rotation is generated by precise directing of the nozzles to produce a jet thrust. The resultant vector force of the jet thrust causes the nozzle/arm assembly to rotate. The speed of the rotation is determined by the volume and discharge pressure of the high pressure pump. The rotational speed is then adjusted for peak cleaning performance by closing a special metering valve that is mounted on the cart frame. This valve provides speed control range up to 1200 RPM. The entire nozzle assembly can be raised and lowered to ideal nozzle stand-off distances up to 2-3/4 inches to suit the job to be done.
The Models VS-892 and VS-893 are designed compactly to minimize bulk. The main wheel support frame doubles as a hydraulic reservoir for the rotational speed control system. The front wheels are mounted on fixed casters and the rear wheels on swivel casters to permit a full range of unit movement. The front and rear wheels are true pneumatic tires which permit excellent mobility over uneven surfaces.
Nozzles must be sized for compatibility with the high pressure pump ratings and/or the job requirements. The nozzles may utilize either the zero or fan spray type. Each model from the 890 Series comes standard with a six (6) foot hose whip, which serves as an intermediary connection between the high pressure pump line and the cleaner's high pressure water inlet connection.
All Grate, Deck and Floor Cleaners are not the same. There are several features which help distinguish JETECH® as the leader among competitive models. Both the VS-892 and VS-893 models do not require compressed air, electricity, or hydraulics as the nozzle prime mover. JETECH®'s cleaning head is up front on the unit - unlike those cleaners that have the head between the wheels. This allows closer access to walls and corners. The VS-890 Series is designed for excellent balance which also helps promote good mobility. The hinged head allows for 90° (degree) operation on vertical walls or columns as well as for inspection of the nozzle/arm assembly. Under carriage rungs for forklift operation are provided with these units.
