High Pressure Valves

With the usage of high pressure water, it becomes important to control the flow from the high pressure pump. The need for directional flow or On/Off control necessitates the use of differing kinds and types of valves. Valves may be actuated in different ways, such as: hydraulically, pneumatically, or mechanically via foot or finger trigger. At JETECH^® we are committed to creating the simplest design that will perform at the optimum level. Overly complicated designs that are parts intensive will not serve the user in the field.

The 983 and 984 Series

The 983 D valve model is rated to 20,000 PSI at 20 GPM. It has been used in the 983 DG Hand Lance , and the Grate, Floor, and Deck Cleaner , as well as other conveyor cleaning operations. It is available in a "D " designation, which refers to the "dump to atmosphere" flow of the water when the trigger is not mechanically activated, and is also available in a "DVF" designation, which refers to a foot-operated version of the same valve. The valve is operated by actuating the foot pedal. This closes the internal passage to the dump port and causes all of the water to be directed to the nozzle with resultant pressurization. Due to the design of the valve, very little force is required to hold the trigger in operating position. There is only one internal moving wear part in the gun and one fixed part which requires maintenance. These parts are easily accessible. The valve seat operating position can be adjusted to suit the individual operator's requirements and can also be adjusted to compensate for normal wear. All high pressure water connections are of the coned and threaded type.

Also in this series is the 984 D, the 30,000 PSI version at 15 GPM, which is used in the Grate, Floor, and Deck Cleaner , and the 984 DG Hand Lance . The 984 D is also employed in the TAPT Rotating High Pressure Gun (valve is located in the tumblebox as an air-to-close arrangement). To complete the 984 Series is the foot operated 30,000 PSI valve referred to as 984 DVP.

The 96001 and 96002 Series

The 96001 and 96002 Series of valves contains three (3) different models - all good for 20,000 PSI and 50 GPM flow. The 96001 DVP is a dump style valve which is foot operated. The 96002 H valve is a hydraulic operated valve and the 96002 P valve is a pneumatically operated valve. Essentially the same valve product, these valves are mechanically, hydraulically, or pneumatically actuated. These valves have been used in high volume applications such as fixed cleaning systems, tube bundle cleaning services, and multi-nozzle applications.

This valve series is a rugged, high volume valve which utilizes a spring loaded valve pin and "O"-rings for sealing. These valves are designed to reduce pump discharge pressure by opening a port to atmosphere. The valve is designed to open instantaneously when the foot pedal is released. During a typical tube bundle cleaning operation, the discharge pressure of the nozzles must be reduced when changing the nozzles from one set of tube holes to another. The force to hold the valve closed is minimized by hydraulically balancing the valve so that mechanical activation is as easy as pneumatics or hydraulics.
